DreamFast Apps

Privacy Policy

How DreamFast Apps handles your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how DreamFast Themes (which operates DreamFast Apps) handles information in connection with the DreamFast Apps website at dreamfastapps.com and our Windows desktop software.

1. Who operates this site

DreamFast Apps is operated by DreamFast Themes. You can contact us at hello@dreamfastapps.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
  • App purchases. Our apps are sold through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft processes the purchase, billing, payment and tax information — we do not receive or store your payment-card details. What Microsoft collects is covered by the Microsoft privacy statement and Microsoft Store terms.
  • Basic technical data. Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliable operation.
  • Website usage statistics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures how the site is used. Nothing is loaded or collected until you accept — see section 8.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising networks or third-party marketing trackers on this website. Several DreamFast apps are designed to run locally on your PC; for those apps, the files you work on are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us as part of normal use. Where an app offers an optional AI-assisted feature that you switch on yourself, the text needed for that action is sent to the AI provider you chose — see section 6.

4. How we use information

We use information to respond to your enquiries and provide support; to operate, secure, and improve the website; and to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

5. App purchases through the Microsoft Store

When you buy or install one of our apps, the transaction takes place in the Microsoft Store. Microsoft is the seller of record and independently handles the payment, billing, tax and account data needed to complete and support the purchase. Please see the Microsoft privacy statement for details of their processing. DreamFast does not receive your payment-card details.

6. Optional AI features

Some DreamFast applications, including DreamFast QuickText, may offer optional AI-assisted writing features. These features are disabled unless you configure your own supported AI provider and deliberately invoke an AI action. When you use such a feature, the text required for that action may be sent directly to the AI provider you selected, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, for processing.

DreamFast does not receive or store your AI provider API key, selected text, prompts, or AI responses as part of normal operation. Your API credentials are stored locally using Windows-protected storage. Processing performed by third-party AI providers is governed by their own privacy policies and terms. Core QuickText text-expansion, snippets and template features do not require AI.

7. Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the website, including web hosting, email delivery and handling for messages, website security and caching tools, and — only where you have accepted analytics — Google Analytics for usage measurement. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service. Our website fonts are served from our own server, so loading this site does not send your IP address to a third-party font provider.

8. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used — but only if you accept it.

  • Before you choose, nothing analytics-related runs. Google Consent Mode is set to deny analytics and advertising storage by default, and the Google Analytics script is not even downloaded, so no _ga cookie and no measurement cookie is created.
  • If you decline, the Analytics script is never loaded on any page and no analytics data is collected.
  • If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets its _ga cookies to measure page views and general usage.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops further collection and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

We run no advertising or remarketing on this site, so advertising, ad-user-data and ad-personalisation consent remain denied whatever you choose.

One strictly necessary cookie is set regardless, because it is what remembers your answer: df_consent, which stores only “granted” or “denied” and expires after 180 days. WordPress and our security or caching tools may also set strictly necessary cookies in limited situations (for example, if you log in to an account).

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. Support emails are kept as long as needed to assist you and for our records.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

Our providers (including Microsoft and our hosting provider) may process information in countries other than yours. Where that happens, the information remains subject to protections consistent with this policy.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at hello@dreamfastapps.com. For purchase and billing data handled by Microsoft, you may also contact Microsoft.

13. Children’s privacy

Our website and software are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will address it.

14. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites (such as the Microsoft Store or DreamFast Themes). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is posted here with the “Last updated” date below.
